TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The T&RA has software which can be used to create and manage tournaments entirely online. Currently, it is only being used for selected National tournaments, as it is not easy for an untrained user to set them up. We can however do this at our office
Site visitors can use it so see draws and results for any T&RA tournaments that are set up on it, usually by clicking a yellow ball in the News section
We very much hope to move on to ‘Phase 2’ of this service, it is certainly on our wish list, but it is quite complex, and since the purchase of RTO in August the software has to be re-written to ‘hang off’ that database. Phase 2 will be designed so that any approved administrator [Pro, match managers] can easily set up any tournament or match online, and just as easily update and report the results. As to when Phase 2 will be ready, watch this space, but as well as the complexity of the task, it is not inexpensive to build
