Centenary Week

Centenary Tennis Tournament

Up to 40 teams will be able to take part in the Tennis Competition, with Round Robin matches played in 8 groups of four/five teams. Dependent on the number of entries, these Round-Robin matches will be played at The Queen’s Club, Lord’s, The Burroughs and Holyport from 19th to 22nd April.

The top two teams from each group will progress to a Knockout stage covering the Last 16, the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and the Final.  All the knockout matches will be played at The Queen’s Club from the 24th-26th April.

Teams can consist of between 5 and 8 players, for which the entry fee per team will be £675.  This will include 8 team personalised Centenary Tennis Shirts of unique design, all court and marking fees, quality prizes and a welcome drinks party at The Queen's Club on Monday 21 April.

Team Captains will be at liberty to decide how many and which members of the team are selected for each match, which will consist of 4 rubbers, each comprising one 8 game set. Each team will play 3/4 matches in the Round Robin section of the Tournament.

  • If the team is one of 8 players, each member will play once only in each rubber.
  • If the team comprises 5, 6, or 7 players, the Captain will decide who plays twice, but those that do so must play with a different partner in their second rubber.

It is hoped that each UK Club will enter at least one team in the tournament.  In addition, Overseas Clubs and “Pick-up” teams will be encouraged to enter.
