Farewell to Daniel Quancard

Jeu de Paume de Bordeaux announces with great sadness the passing of Daniel Quancard, founder member of the club, on Wednesday 24th January after a short illness.
Daniel was the son of Claude Quancard, President and founder of the Jeu de Paume de Mérignac in 1978. An avid player of the game for well over 30 years and accountant by profession, Daniel was throughout heavily involved in the life of the club, touring England regularly with Thyl Van der Linden's Bordeaux team.
His experience, warmth and humility, both on and off the court, will be hugely missed by all who met him - but never forgotten.
To his wife, Marie-France, and his children, we address our deepest sympathy.
