International agreement on Real Tennis Online
At a small reception kindly�hosted by Guy Durand, President of the Fontainebleau Club de Jeu de Paume,�all�four tennis playing nations�signed the�agreement to become�shareholders in the RTO website. This completes the acquisition begun last year when the T&RA and USCTPF agreed to purchase the site from Tim Graham
Management of�RTO will continue to be in the hands of a small group, one�from each nation, led by Haven Pell. We look forward to resolution of the chairmanship of the International Handicapping Committee. This body instructs RTO as to what service it requires RTO to provide for handicapping, and the RTO management implements these instructions. Haven's team does NOT get involved in handicap�policy or decisions, only in implementation
After�August 2008 the T&RA membership database will be run online on RTO, allowing members and players to update their own details easily. This will also permit members to email each other without disclosing the recipient's email address. We believe that data protection issues have been addressed, and reassure members that�bank details will not be visible online
