T&RA Statement on the British Amateur
During the recent Amateur Tennis Championships, there was an incident involving apparently malicious tampering with the equipment of one of the players. The T&RA, in conjunction with the Queen’s Club, has launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Whilst the outcome of these enquiries cannot be pre-judged, the T&RA is totally committed to both Tennis and Rackets being played in the right spirit and upholding the highest standards of behaviour by all involved in our games. The T&RA is deeply shocked and disappointed by this incident. The T&RA has a range of disciplinary procedures available to the Association and its membership and will not hesitate to use the full sanctions at its disposal should it prove necessary on this, or indeed any other occasion.
