Ben Taylor-Matthews Takes Over as Head Pro at Westwood
The Director of Racquets at Westwood Country Club in Virginia has confirmed that British Real Tennis pro Ben Taylor-Matthews has taken over as Head Professional following Ivan Ronaldson’s death.
Ben Taylor-Matthews, who recently moved to the United States after a 22-year career as a Real Tennis professional in England, has been elevated to the position of Head Court Tennis Professional at the Westwood Country Club in Virginia.
The club’s Director of Racquets, Dai Edwardes-Evans, shared the news, writing, “Since the passing of our dear friend and colleague Ivan Ronaldson, Ben has shown great character, leadership, and professionalism that has made an immediate and significant impression on the Westwood racquets community. We are excited to have Ben, world number 4, as our Head Court Tennis Professional. His prowess on the court is exceeded only by his kindness, enthusiasm, and passion for the game. Together, we look forward to continuing the success and legacy that Ivan left behind.”
