British Under 15 & Under 19 Doubles Championships

This year the British U15/U19 Doubles Championships finally returned to their “ancestral home” at Holyport Real Tennis Club after being played elsewhere for the past 6 years.
U19 Event
A strong entry was eventually reduced to just 2 pairs, Max Trueman & James Medlow (both from Seacourt) V Bertie Vallat (Queens) & Henry Henman (Redley). All 4 boys are well under 20 handicap and they are currently ranked as the top 4 players in the World under 19! The final did not disappoint with many, many thrilling rests, ending in a win for Max & James 6/5 6/2.
U15 Event
There was a really good entry for the younger age group with youngsters entering from a wide range of clubs. The final was between Laszlo Garson (Oxford) & Algie Nottingham (Wellington) V Queens Club pair Max Warner & Francesco Saviotti. A very close match ended with a win for Laszlo & Algie 6/3 6/5.
