COVID-19 November Lockdown

New National Restrictions from 5 November

T&RA Statement 31st October

Most of you will have heard the statement by the Prime Minister on Saturday evening. COVID-19 case numbers are rising rapidly across the whole of the UK and in other countries. We must act now to control the spread of the virus. The most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to follow the Government guidelines: stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

To reduce social contact, the Government has ordered indoor leisure facilities to close in England, which include Tennis and Rackets courts.

What is different from the March lockdown is that the Government will continue to prioritise the wellbeing and long-term futures of our young people and will not be closing schools, colleges or universities. Therefore school courts may remain open for schoolboys and schoolgirls to play, subject to their own internal safety assessments.

The Cabinet Office Guidance (31st October) is published below.
