GB Juniors Squad vs MCC
GB Junior Squad v MCC
The annual match between the MCC and the British Junior Squad, sponsored by the Dedanists’ Society took place at Lords on Sunday 1st October. The event was complicated by the last minute withdrawal of the MCC captain Nick Warner through illness.
The junior team got off to a flying start winning both of the first 2 singles matches. This was followed by an extremely close doubles match. This match could have gone either way however the junior players William Flynn (Seacourt) & Nick Milton (Hyde) managed to hold their nerve to win. The final match of the day was in fact the closest fought with British junior Hamish Dron winning 6/5 in the final set.
Thanks as usual go out to the MCC for hosting the match and providing an excellent lunch. Mark Ryan marked superbly throughout the day.
