Seacourt Brothers Daniel and Jack Morgan Win British U16 Handicap Doubles
Sixteen young Real Tennis players from many different clubs descended on the Bristol Club on Sunday, 27th April, for the British U16 Handicap Doubles Tournament. The players competed for The Dedanists' Foundation Cup.
The handicaps worked out very well with many 5-5 all, 40 all’s in the group stages. The two pairs that made it all the way through to the final were brothers Daniel and Jack Morgan, from Seacourt, and the local Bristol pairing of Matthew Galvin and Benedict Westcott. The Seacourt pair, who had very nearly gone out of the tournament in the group stages, had really found their feet by now and powered their way through to victory.
Thanks go out to the Bristol Club for an excellent day and to Ben Taylor-Matthews in particular, who marked every match. Lunch was supplied by Sarah Beale, the club's new Junior Coordinator.
The tournament was sponsored by The Dedanists’ Foundation, and the magnificent trophy was presented to Jack and Daniel by the Director of Junior Tennis, Paul Weaver.
