Super Junior Players Stun in National Category Tournament
In an extraordinary event, two junior players swept through to the final of the Category F Open Championships, with a nine-year-old taking home the trophy.
The Category F Open Championships (Level Singles for Handicaps 55-59) took place at Prested over the weekend of 14-15 March. In a fantastic display of the ever-improving state of Junior Tennis, two brothers from Seacourt – Jack Morgan (9) and his brother, Daniel Morgan (12) – won all of their matches to get through to the final.
What makes it more incredible is that they were the only juniors playing, and they put on a great show during the final, with Jack winning the last point in a 7-7 all, 40-40 all thriller.
The two are surely the youngest ever players to reach the final of any National Category event, making their parents Andy & Marta, and their coach, Paul Weaver, very proud. Remember the names!
