Top Real Tennis Players to Compete in Inaugural Eastern Open at Cambridge

Cambridge University Real Tennis Club invites you to attend a 5-day festival of Real Tennis (28th Oct - 1st Nov) free of charge to watch 16+ top players of the game playing the inaugural Eastern Open. 

Alongside this spectacular Tennis showcase we have organised other events to ensure opportunities to get on court and to socialise with the players:

• Eastern Open: The Open Singles event, featuring 16 invited top players (sub 15 handicap), will begin on Thursday, 29th October (qualifying rounds on Wed 28th), with the final taking place at Sunday lunchtime.
• Pro-Am: Eight top players will partner eight entrants on Friday, 30th October. This will run alongside the Open so the crowd will have a fantastic opportunity to watch both events. Pro-Am places are limited and cost £500 each, to include lunch. Please apply asap to secure your spot on court.
• Handicap Doubles tournament - make it a Cambridge weekend! (Sat 31 Oct-Sun 1 Nov): If watching and meeting many of the world’s top players provides a little inspiration why not enter the Handicap Doubles competition running alongside the main Pros’ competition?  Enjoy a round robin doubles tournament during the semis and final days of the Open. We will also offer some opportunity for singles play on the Sunday for all those signed up to the doubles. There will be play both days regardless of your results! Entry £100 per player, which includes joining the Pros’ lunches on both days.
• Dinner: Join us and the players for dinner at a local restaurant on Friday, 30^th October - pay for yourself on the night but please book so we reserve the right number of seats.
