UK Combined Services Real Tennis and Rackets Championship

The 2022 Combined Services RT & R Championships took place at the Queen’s Club for the first time since 2019. Representatives of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force competed, with both serving and retired personnel enjoying the wonderful comradeship built up across the years.
There was fierce competition throughout this year's tournament, held May 4 through May 6, and it was excellent to see so many serving and retired members on court again after such a long break.
Full marks to the Army and their strength in depth, brilliantly organised by Lieutenant Jeremy Bushell, who swept away the silverware, despite valiant efforts by the Senior Service. Farewell also to Major Nick Heppenstall, soon to be deployed to New Zealand, after many years as Chairman of the Army T&R Association..
Particular congratulations to super-fit Sidney Yankson (HAC) for such a successful few days.

Rackets Past and Present Singles
Winner – S Yankson 3-0
Runner Up – W Kenyon
Rackets Past and Present Doubles and Inter Services Doubles
(With the same pairs in each final, both competitions were played in one)
Winners – C Fraser and C Marlow-Thomas (ARMY) (The Life Guards) 3-0
Runners Up – W Kenyon and H Akerman (ARMY)
