Bryn Sayers

Bryn Sayers is a British Real Tennis player who began as a junior player at Seacourt. He’s currently the Senior Real Tennis pro at The Queen’s Club.

TOURNAMENT AND MATCH HIGHLIGHTS*

Sayers won the Under 24 Singles and Doubles championships in 2009, which he followed up with winning the US Open and British Open Singles Championships in 2012.

He then went on to win the British Open Doubles in 2013, beating Rob Fahey and Steve Virgona. In 2014, Sayers won the Australian Open Doubles, beating Rob Fahey and Mike Happell.

He made it to the British Open Doubles finals in 2022, partnered with Tim Chisholm. Ultimately, the duo lost to Camden Riviere and John Lumley 3/6/ 6/1/ 6/1 6/4.

When and how did you get involved in Real Tennis?

“I started Real Tennis at the age of 10 at Seacourt Tennis Club. My lawn tennis was cancelled due to rain, so I was taken inside to try out Real Tennis and have loved it ever since.”

Why do you love Real Tennis?

“I enjoy being part of the ‘travelling circus’ of players, many of whom are clowns!”

Which famous person would you love to see play Real Tennis?

“Rory McIllroy so that I could try and blag a round of golf with him after!”
