Our favourite event of the year! Both tournaments are only open to players with handicaps over 60, and as a result, there were lots of players competing in their first-ever tournament. Well done everyone who took part. Saturday’s singles event saw 28 players from 8 different clubs whittle down to an all-Prested final between Patrick Kerry (Handicap 69) and David Herbert (Handicap 85). Patrick played with incredible composure and control to win the event. 9 pairs took part in Sunday's doubles event and it was wonderful to see Queens Pair, Bonnie and Starky Tindall (Age 14 and 11), take the crown. They lost their first match of the day but grew in confidence throughout the day, eventually winning the final 6/2 over university students George Lu and Max Gallagher. Thank you to Dan Worboys for helping us organise the event.
