The Callender Cup 2023 is taking place on the 4th of November at Wellington.

Draw available!

Four groups of round matches took place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November. The handicap system was working well with multiple 40 all games and many close games throughout. Wellington pair Mark Harris and David ( Major D) Enticknap took on the RTC pair of Katy Doy and Henry Dalton in the first semi final giving them owe 15 rec 30 and one serve and banned the tambour. Every game was tight and the first double fault appeared in the 10th game and there was not even a close encounter with the tambour, but the RTC pair converted 3 forty all’s late in the match to clinch a spot in the final. The second semi-final was a battle of the parent-child combos between Seacourt’s Matt and Olivia Boulton and Prested’s Paul and Ben Dickson- Both pairs were competitive throughout but it was Ben and Paul who won the big points to win a place in the final 8-5. The RTC pair kept up the pressure in the final, attacking the ball to take full advantage of the handicap difference. The Prested duo changed tactics to try and gain a toe hold in the final, but the RTC pair proved too confident and fearless in their play and won the Callender Cup 8-2. A great competition which saw the largest entry to date of 14 pairs from around the UK.
