The best match of the 55-59 section saw Jeremy Day squeeze past Caroline Hart in a two hour marathon. He then lost in the semi finals to James Richardson, the eventual winner, who beat Leamington member Bob Compton 6/4 6/4 in the final.
In the 50-54s Henry Bryan beat Peter Ashton 6/5 6/5 to reach the final where he easily accounted for a fellow Leamington member, David Howells.
