The POL ROGER Inter-University Cup is a team event between Universities in a knockout format. All matches will be level and will comprise two singles and one doubles (all matches will be one set, first to win 8 games). Teams should have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4 players. Captains should name their teams on entry and these cannot normally be changed once the draw is released.

The Inter-University Handicap Singles is open to all students possessing a recognised RTO handicap (non provisional). If numbers permit, we will operate two divisions for this tournament. In the pool stage, groups of four will play one set, first to win 6 games; groups of three will play one set, first to win 8 games. The winner and runner up of each pool will progress to the knock-out phase. Knock-out rounds will be one set, first to win 6 games, and the Final will be one set, first to win 8 games. Players will be expected to assist with the marking of matches. The Semi-finals and Finals of both events will be marked by the Cambridge Professionals.

We are finalising details of the tournament dinner with the hope to go to a college this year. This will be preceded by the Pol Roger champagne reception & Exhibition match, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Group stage matches will be played at CURTC, Newmarket Real Tennis Club and Hatfield House Tennis Club from midday Thursday 9 March. Please fill out the form carefully as it is essential for us to know when you are available to play. We anticipate that all finals will be finished by 4pm Sunday 12 March. We cannot guarantee to accommodate availability requirements after the closing date for entries.

Please contact your Uni RT captain for more details and entry forms.
