The British Over 50s Amateur Doubles Championships (the Scott-Hurley Cup) sponsored by Neptune investment Management were held at Lord's on 3 and 4 May 2014.

All the pairs in the round robin were closely matched in handicap but powerful volleying and forcing saw the Queen's Club pairing of Anthony Jenks and Patrick Lawrence go through unbeaten. Marek Stefanowicz and the wily Fred Satow saved a crucial match point to edge out Simon Talbot Williams and Ronald Paterson for the second semi final place.

Top seeds David Watson and William Maltby beat Satow and Stefanowicz 6-0, 6-0 and World Over 55s Amateur Doubles Champions John Prenn and Mark Nicholls beat Jenks and Lawrence 6-1, 6-1 to set up a keenly anticipated final. After some very tight opening encounters Prenn and Nicholls took the first set 6-2. In the second set good serving by Maltby and heavy returning of serve by both Maltby and Watson saw the top seeds establish a 5-2, 40-15 lead at which point a third set seemed inevitable but terrific match play by Prenn and Nicholls saw them close out the second set and the championship to continue John Prenn's remarkable run of form which he began by winning 4 titles at the World Masters in New York in May 2013.

An all-MCC Plate Final was won by Simon Talbot Williams and Ronald Paterson who beat Richard Moore and Simon Martin 6-3, 6-3.
