The British Under 15 & Under 19 Doubles Championships were once again held at the Holyport Club over the week-end of 26th - 27th March. As usual this venue provided a great atmosphere for all the youngsters from the many different clubs that took part.

The under 15 section contained a strong contingent from Petworth & Moreton Morrell. The group sections were all very close with Oliver Galea & James Rendell (Seacourt) going through to play against the 2 seeded pairs Levi Gale (Hyde) & Sam Willis (Seacourt) and Charlie Braham & William Gordon Lennox (Petworth).

The 2 seeded pairs prevailed and the final was of the highest quality with some of the best doubles play ever seen at this age group. In the end Levi & Sam won but at 4 games all in the second set the match could easily have swung the other way.

The under 19 section was a more one sided affair with the winners Lewis Williams (Prested) & John Lumley (Radley) taking all before them. The group stages were won by Lewis Davies (Seacourt) & Will Shortridge (Prested) and Sian Medlow & Ben Wall (Seacourt) with Sian & Ben going through to face the top seeds in the final.

The final was proof of the superiority of the top pair with Lewis & John winning comfortably.

Thanks as usual go to the Holyport Club for hosting the event and to Neptune for their generous sponsorship. Also a special thanks to Holyport professional Angus Williams for all his hard work.
