* Under 18 Singles Handicap Tournament 2025

21 junior players took part in the 2025 U18 Handicap Singles tournament, held at the Wellington Court.

On Saturday, 6^th December, the “B” Grade event took place for those with the highest handicaps, attended by David Mills, the Dedanists’ Foundation Chairman. A long day's play culminated in a win for Alfred Norris (Holyport), who narrowly defeated Zoe Neville 6/4 in a close-fought match.

On Sunday, 7th, the lower handicap juniors competed for the title of U18 Handicap Singles Champion. Another long day of competition resulted in semi-finalists Ryan Wallace (Seacourt), Georgia Toosey (Wellington), and brothers Jack & Daniel Morgan (Seacourt). The final came down to a head-to-head between the 2 Morgan boys, with a win for the extraordinary 9-year-old Jack. Jack’s handicap has dropped from 90 to 60 this year, making him the lowest-handicap player under 10 years old in the world!

Many thanks to the Wellington Court for hosting, with pros Dan Jones and Adam Player each putting in a long day of marking. Thanks also to The Dedanists’ Foundation. All of the finalists in both the “A” and “B” grade finals had benefited from grants received from the Foundation to their respective home clubs.
