Special note from Philip Shaw-Hamilton: Both John Prenn and Simon de Halpert entered four competitions which is a major endurance commitment, literally survival of the fittest. Both came away with two World Titles (not counting John's w/o!). John now has 23 World Amateur Real Tennis Titles to his name (and how many Rackets titles?!).
Just for fun I have also included a photo of the five OMs (Old Malvernians) who participated in these championships. There have been multiple OMs involved throughout the history of the Championships - a tribute to Ron Hughes (Rackets Professional at Malvern College), multiple British Open and Professional titles, and competed for the Real Tennis World Title in 1966, and who helped engender the love of Rackets and Real Tennis to we five amongst countless others.
