Final World Championship Eliminator Match Dates Set
Aiken Tennis Club will be hosting the final eliminator match of the World Championship 2025 from 18-22 May. Watch John Lumley and Nick Howell battle for the chance to play against current title holder Camden Riviere in the final, which will be held in Newport this September.
The Real Tennis world has been waiting with bated breath for the announcement of the final World Championship eliminator between John Lumley and Nick Howell, and it’s finally here!
Nicky’s home club, Aiken Tennis Club in South Carolina, will be hosting the event, which has been scheduled as follows:
- Sunday, 18 May, 6PM
- Tuesday, 20 May, 6PM
- Thursday, 22 May, 6PM
All three dates will be live streamed on USCTA’s YouTube page, which you can find here.
The last eliminator matches took place in April. As the T&RA previously reported, John Lumley defeated Steve Virgona 2-0 in a three match series (Match 1 in Chicago: 6/1 6/4 6/3; Match 2 in Philadelphia: 6/2 6/1 6/0), while Nicky Howell defeated Ben Taylor-Matthews 7-3 in a best of 13 set match at Aiken (Day 1: 4/6 6/1 1/6 6/4; Day 2: 6/1 1/6 6/2 6/3; Day 3: 6/5 6/5). Dates and Information About the World Championship 2025 Final
The 2025 Real Tennis World Championship will be taking place at the National Tennis Club at the International Tennis Hall of Fame on the following dates:
Day One: Tuesday, September 23rd
Day Two: Thursday, September 25th
Day Three: Saturday, September 27th
The event will be a week-long showcase of extraordinary Real Tennis with Camden Riviere vying to defend his title. Tickets are available for purchase here.
The autumn is a beautiful time to visit Newport, Rhode Island, and the club will have a robust schedule of social activities alongside the main event (for more information on that, click here). There will also be an informational packet of ‘things-to-do’ in Newport provided, should you wish to enjoy all that the area has to offer.
