Great Britain has regained the Van Alen Trophy without dropping a set against the USA at Seacourt, with victories in all 8 matches.
The prestigious Van Alen Trophy was contested over two days of singles & doubles. The Great Britain U26 team, consisting of Bertie Vallat, Benedict Yorston, Will Flynn and Ned Batstone, beat the USA team 8-0, bringing the Van Alen Trophy back to Great Britain after a disappointing defeat 2 years ago in Washington.
GB took a 4-0 lead from the first day's singles, and they then closed out all 4 doubles on the second day. All matches were played in a great spirit of sportsmanship. GB Team Manager, Paul Weaver, was delighted with such a thoroughly convincing victory.
